The Forces respond: No one will be able to fish in murky water
Fady Mahouly
The Lebanese Forces issued the following statement from the Northern Bekaa Region:
The suspicious website Lebanon Debate insists, as usual, on fabricating stories and spreading lies against the “Lebanese Forces”, for purposes that are both unknown and known at the same time.
The last of these lies is his false claim that some of the people of Deir al-Ahmar sought to open the Ainata-Cedar road, which was closed due to the accumulation of snow, but the answer was negative from the “Lebanese Forces” for security reasons, fearing that opening the road would constitute an entrance to Bsharri at the present time.
Therefore, to prevent misleading the Lebanese, we are interested in emphasizing the following:
1- The “Lebanese Forces” puts all its energies at the disposal of the municipalities and their federation in the Deir al-Ahmar area.
2- Opening the road is one of the tasks of the snow plowing center affiliated with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
3- Historically, this road was not opened at this time of the year due to the density of snow and the presence of plowers that are difficult to deal with.
4- Attempts to open the road faced field difficulties, especially as a result of the presence of bulldozers and the risk of collapses.
In conclusion, let the suspicious website and those who move it reassure that the people, municipalities, and “Lebanese Forces” of the Deir al-Ahmar area are united, with one hand and one heart, for the benefit of the region and all its people, and no one will be able to fish in troubled waters.
